We are thrilled to highlight the outstanding efforts of the Jesuit Robotics team at St. Ignatius School! Their recent outreach activities showcased their championship-winning ROV and ignited a passion for technology and innovation among students.
Last month, Ali Hynd and the ROV/S5 Nautilus group from Mintlaw Academy attended the SUBSEA EXPO at the Exhibition Center in Aberdeen. The highlight of their visit was receiving the esteemed 'President's Award' from Moya Crawford, President of the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT).
On a Saturday morning in late January, middle and high school science and technology teachers from 13 schools across Massachusetts and Rhode Island arrived at MITRE's Bedford campus as curious students in a MATE ROV building workshop. By Sunday afternoon, they deployed their working prototypes in MITRE's recently opened BlueTech Lab.
This integration will foster connection and bridge the gap between today’s professionals and future innovators in marine technology.
