Teams attempting to qualify remotely by video for the MATE ROV World Championship must first register under the Team Registration (Coach) link above. Teams qualifying at a regional event will register for the regional competition and will receive an email invitation to advance once final scores are received.

Speaker Bio
Holly Kriendler
Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer
Oceaneering International, Inc. (NYSE:OII)
Holly Kriendler serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Oceaneering International, a global technology company delivering engineered services and products and robotic solutions to the offshore energy, defense, aerospace, manufacturing, and entertainment industries.
Ms. Kriendler leverages the practices and technologies of human resources to focus on long-term organizational health, enabling organizations she works with to thrive, grow and embrace change. She leads through transformation with strategy, culture, and structure at the center. Ms. Kriendler balances financial discipline with the company’s employee value proposition and stakeholder expectations.
Ms. Kriendler holds a BBA in Organizational Behavior and MBA in Management from The University of Houston and completed Cornell University’s Modern CHRO executive education program. She has significant leadership experience across multiple industries and organizations including Oceaneering, Tyco International Ltd, ADT Corporation, SYSCO and Emerson. Ms. Kriendler has been recognized by the National Diversity Council as one of the Top 50 most powerful women in Oil & Gas in 2020 and the top 100 most influential women in energy in 2021.

Shuttle Information
We will have three shuttle service options in Alpena, Michigan.
1. Hotel, Event, & Town Shuttles (Free)
We will have shuttles available from our hotels to our event venues on the days of check-in, safety inspections, and throughout the competition (6/17-06/21). Shuttle schedule HERE.
You do not need to be staying at these
hotels to use the shuttle service. All MATE ROV judges, volunteers, teams, and guests are welcome to take advantage of the shuttle service. Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are limited in Alpena, MI.
The shuttles will circle from the event locations:
1 - Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center 500 W. Fletcher St., Alpena, MI, 49707
2 - Alpena Community College 665 Johnson St., Alpena, MI, 49707

2. Dial-a-Ride Transportation – Convenient Shuttle Service in Alpena
Thunder Bay Transportation Authority offers Dial-a-Ride Transportation, a convenient and affordable shuttle service available within Alpena city limits. Whether you're heading to your hotel from Alpena Airport or traveling anywhere in town. Rides typically cost between $3–$5 per rider (CASH OR CHECK ONLY).
To schedule a ride, call 989-356-4596—advanced reservations are recommended, but same-day service may be available if you call upon arrival.

3. Airport Shuttles (Free)
To help make your travel experience as smooth as possible, the MATE ROV Competition will be providing free shuttle transportation between Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) and Alpena, MI for competing teams, volunteers, and judges. Shuttle seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so early sign-up is essential.
