The MATE ROV Competition Newfoundland & Labrador Regional is designated for SCOUT and RANGER class competition, hosted at Marine Institute of Memorial University, St. John's, and serves as the regional hub for team development in Newfoundland & Labrador. Registration opens soon!

Joe Singleton is the Assistant Head for the School of Ocean Technology at the Marine Institute of Memorial University. He is a professional engineer with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in ocean and naval architectural engineering from Memorial University.

Joe's background varies primarily from manufacturing, design, and education. Aside from mentoring the MI/MUN ROV team (Eastern Edge Robotics), he has been helping with the coordination of the Newfoundland and Labrador regional MATE ROV competition since 2016.
