The MATE ROV Competition Newfoundland & Labrador Regional is designated for SCOUT, NAVIGATOR and RANGER class competition, hosted at Marine Institute of Memorial University, St. John's, and serves as the regional hub for team development in Nova Scotia. Registration opens soon!

Joe Singleton is the Assistant Head for the School of Ocean Technology at the Marine Institute of Memorial University. He is a professional engineer with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in ocean and naval architectural engineering from Memorial University.

Joe's background varies primarily from manufacturing, design, and education. Aside from mentoring the MI/MUN ROV team (Eastern Edge Robotics), he has been helping with the coordination of the Newfoundland and Labrador regional MATE ROV competition since 2016.
