When is our regional competition?

8 & 9 May, 2020

When does registration open and close?

Registration opens 20 January and will close for teams on 25 April. Please keep an eye on the registration page for more details.

Where will the regional competition be held?

Our regional event will be held at Maritime State University:

How many teams can a mentor bring to compete?

Mentors may bring up to three (3) teams.

Can we bring spectators to the competition? Are there any rules about who can spectate?

Yes! Spectators are welcome!

What time does the event start?

Competition will run from 10AM to 6PM

What time is team check-in?

Check-in begins at 9AM

What competition components are judged at our regional?

When are our Company Spec Sheets and SIDs due, and where should we submit them?

Company spec sheets should be emailed to the regional coordinator and are due one week prior to the competition.

What is the depth of the competition pool?

Pool depth ranges from 2 – 4.6 meters.

Are there any pool missions listed in the class manuals that will be excluded from our regional?

No.

Do we need to supply our own power supply for our ROV?

Teams are encouraged to bring their own power supplies.

Will there be monitors for us to use at the competition?

No, teams must supply their own monitors.

Will there be food served at the event? Is there a fee for food?

Participants and spectators should provide their own food during the competition.

Something has gone horribly wrong and we can’t compete. How do we cancel?

Please contact your regional coordinator as soon as possible. Please note, there are no refunds on registration fees; nor can they be applied to future competitions.
