Jing Han received her doctorate in Physics from The Ohio State University in 2013, she has been a prominent researcher in the field of STEM education. Jing’s research has been published in Science Magazine, and she holds a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant for her research. Jing’s achievements have made her a well-known figure in the education field in both the US and China, and on several occasions, she’s been invited to speak on a variety of topics at national conferences for educational leadership training.

Owen Zhang received his Master's degree in Structural Engineering from UCLA in 2018 and is now based in Beijing, China. He works with IPERC and company CEO Jing Han to promote the MATE ROV Competition and STEM education in China. They've invited several MATE representatives to visit China and participate in ROV training classes and teacher workshops in 2019. Also, they successfully held the first China-Mainland Regional MATE ROV Competition in 2019.
