The MATE ROV Competition Oregon Regional is designated for SCOUT, NAVIGATOR, and RANGER class competition, hosted at Oregon State University, and serves as the regional hub for team development in Oregon.

Cait Goodwin is a member of the Oregon Sea Grant marine education team at the Hatfield Marine Science Center's Visitor Center in Newport. She is the creator and coordinator of the popular Oregon Coast Quests program, runs marine science-focused teacher professional-development workshops, and supports student STEM events.

Tracy Crews oversees Oregon Sea Grant’s precollege programs at OSU's Hatfield Marine Science Center, including hands-on field and lab programs, homeschool and career day events, and summer day camps. Tracy also leads experiences for students on oceanographic research vessels, coordinates the MATE Oregon Regional Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) Competition, and leads teacher professional development workshops focusing on ocean sciences and marine engineering. She holds a bachelor's degree in marine biology, a master's degree in marine science, and has worked in fisheries research, resource management, and education for over 20 years.
